Colorado State University in Fort Collins: So-called "public safety experts" and the college president's cabinet want to take away the right of students who have concealed carry permits to carry on campus. The student governing body has voted 21-3 in support of keeping CSU a conceal-and-carry campus, but the anti-gunners are still pushing to disarm the law-abiding student body. Full Article


Students at the University of Colorado have been warned by University cops not to play with NERF guns because some people might become scared and believe that they are real weapons.
They have even posted signs saying, "If you're caught walking around the University of Colorado at Boulder with a NERF gun, you could be arrested." NERF guns are brightly colored plastic toys. (They are usually yellow, red, orange or blue.) They fire foam darts less then 25 feet, and cause no pain even if fired at close range. It is ridiculous to believe that someone would be so out of touch with reality that they would believe these toys are real weapons. Even if someone was so delusional, why should everyone else pay for their absurdity? Full Article



The Obama administration has reversed a position held by the Bush administration, and says the US is now onboard with supporting a U.N. international "Arms Trade Treaty." This is an attempt by the Obama administration to circumvent the Constitution and bring more gun regulations to the US without going through Congress. Keep an eye on this issue, folks. A new policy has been introduced by the Department of Defense. All fired brass casings are to be destroyed rather than sold through liquidators to companies like Georgia Arms that remanufacture the casings into ammunition that law enforcement agencies and civilian gun owners can purchase. Although no one will address the reason for the new policy, the only possible reason for this decision is to reduce the availability of ammunition and drive up the price of what remains. The Government does not want us to have weapons and ammunition, and this new policy is just one of the ways in which they are taking action against American gun owners. Georgia Arms has been manufacturing over 1 million rounds of .223 ammunition every month, but without the ability to purchase expended military ammunition, the company may be forced to lay off half its workforce. UPDATE: Thanks to strong opposition by US Senators Max Baucus (D-Mont.) and Jon Tester (D-Mont.) as well as US Rep. Denny Rehberg (R-Mont.), the 'suspension' on selling fired brass has been lifted by the DOD. Also, according to the information released by the DOD, no brass was actually destroyed while the suspension was in effect. It looks like this one actually ended well. Full Article


David Olofso, the National Guard Drill Instructor whose semiautomatic rifle that he loaned to a student malfunctioned and fired off three shots after it jammed, surrendered to federal authorities to begin serving a 30-month prison term for "unlawful transfer of a machine gun." According to the BATFE, "If you pull the trigger once and it fires more than one round, no matter what the cause it's a machine gun." The BATFE will do or say anything to cause harm to gun owners. Cases like this one are pursued in order to instill fear in the hearts of those who would never commit a crime with their guns, but who now have reason to fear prosecution even when no crime is committed. The BATFE is evil; it is unconstitutional; and it is a steadfast enemy of every gun owner. It should be abolished, and anyone who supports it is an enemy of this Country and its Constitution. Officials in Montana, including dozens of state lawmakers as well as Secretary of State Brad Johnson, have joined together in a statement that the U.S. already has determined the application, and 2nd Amendment rights apply to "any person." In a joint resolution from the Montana leaders, including Congressman Denny Rehberg, they caution that should the Supreme Court decide to change the U.S. interpretation of the 2nd Amendment and allow those rights to apply only collectively, it would violate the contract under which Montana entered the union as a state. "The Montana Resolution cautions that a collective rights decision would violate the Montana contract for statehood because when that contract was entered the collective rights interpretation had not yet been invented and the individual rights view was an accepted part of the contract," an announcement from the leaders said. Bush Administration Official, U.S. Solicitor General Paul D. Clement, filed a brief with the US Supreme Court in the ongoing arguments over the legality of a DC ban on handguns in homes. "Given the unquestionable threat to public safety that unrestricted private firearm possession would entail, various categories of firearm-related regulation are permitted by the 2nd Amendment." He noted especially the federal ban on machine guns and those many other "particularly dangerous types of firearms," and endorsed restrictions on gun ownership by felons, those subject to restraining orders, drug users and "mental defectives." A drill instructor in the National Guard has been convicted in a Wisconsin federal court of illegally transferring a machine gun after a semi-automatic rifle he loaned to a student malfunctioned, setting off three shots before jamming. Basically this ruling means if any gun ever malfunctions and fires more than one round at a time, it is considered a machine gun by the ATF. This is just the latest example of how the ATF will use any law or any loophole in any law to try to deprive as many Americans as possible of their Second Amendment rights. Full Article


Boston cops will soon begin attempting to search houses without warrants. What are they looking for? Why guns, of course! The program called "Safe Homes" is supposed to help concerned parents by searching their teenagers' rooms for guns. They say that the weapons, which will be confiscated, will not be used to press charges unless they are linked to a crime. "This isn't evidence that we're going to present in a criminal case, This is a seizing of a very dangerous object." *Snort!* The undercover cops will show up on doorsteps in teams of three asking to search the home for weapons. The home owner can say no, but three cops on your doorstep? Talk about intimidation tactics! Full Article
